Single tanks mostly used for all islands hopping scuba diving. Twin tanks/ side mount tanks, Rebreather used for Marigondon cave and Pawod Cave scuba diving (Fresh water cave system/ cave diving site), as well as for other Cavern dives.
Marigondon cave and Pawod Cave scuba diving, as well as other Cavern dives only recommended for Advance and Professional technical / cave divers.
When travel to Cebu, always remember the (4 Ms + P + O + A + K) - Formula of Cebu travels : Moalboal, Marigondon, Malapascua, Mactan, Pescador, Oslob, Apo and Kansantik.)
Did we share on how I sprained my left ankle while Scuba diving and fighting the very strong currents to scuba dive into the Marigondon Cave???
Definitely a challenging dive. Kevin and even the diving instructor guide with us, also breathless when we surface to the top, after the entire dive. Other technical divers, using the UW Diver propulsion vehicle also went into the Marigondon cave slowly and steadily... Cave not as largest as Vietnam's largest cave system but still, the strong currents and drift current dives was proven challenging for us... :P
@ Philippines, one can do as many dives practices, from single tanks, to side mounts, to twin sets to rebreathers to cavern and cave diving ~ And we did all during our one diving trip within a week or so, in Cebu Philippines.
This birthday trip of mine, Kevin and I seems to be training for "Military diving".. Just kidding... but this bday trip of ours, proved very challenging, very strong currents underwater around the Marigondon and cavern dives areas, even stronger than the currents @ Komodo island, Indonesia or Mauritius...
Maybe its because of the nearby Typhoons strike on Korea and Japan or perhaps of winds directions. Not sure of the actual reasons...
