Lagoi - Indonesia : Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel ~The Grand Old Lady of the Seas - 24th Jan 2020

Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel, also foundly known as The Grand Old Lady of the Seas, today seats majestically on her very own purpose-build Anchor Isle right beside the Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal in Bintan Island. It first set sail in 1914 and retired as the “World’s Oldest Active Ocean Going Passenger Ship” in the Guinness World Records. With a history of 105 years, she has been lovingly transformed into a Ship Hotel with 104 cabins as well as both on-land and on-board amenities which includes a maritime museum.

Kevin and i felt so honoured, happy to have been cordially invited, extended such a generous and warm few nights welcome stay by the host/boss of Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel, Mr Eric Saw and his family members, for us to stay here at his hotel ship to celebrate Chinese New Year together with everyone, including all the rest of VIPs guests which is with us in this joyous celebration mood as well... :)

Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel has just recently arrived in Bintan, done their permanent resident docking here quite recently, now its hosting guests and tourists from all over the world.

We be travelling more often to Bintan, hopefully can participate more in the sea grass, coral planting project that The Ship hotel staff and boss, might have upcoming future plans for.

Hope that more divers can come to know of this marine conservation plans and come forth to provide more help and assistance for the UW world waters here in Bintan.
