Tioman - Technical Dive @ Swadee Wreck - 5th May 2019

Happy Ramadan to All ! :)
Scuba-Diving Tioman: Sawadee/Sipadan wreck
Max depth for Nitrox/ Beginner tech divers : 32m.
Minimum depth : 26m - Simple Deep Dive

We went to Tioman to practice our technical dives, practice our twin sets rebreather technical dives to 50m deep this time, explore one of their most prominent wrecks here at Tioman waters which is around 30m to 40m depth... Not just so, but also to check out the conditions of corals and reefs, assist in Coral restoration, turtle hatching projects etc.. ;) t's not a very deep technical dive but good enough temporary for us for our technical diving practices. :)

We spotted a schoal of yellow and silver small fishes, a moral eel, couple of dog face and another species of puffer fishes, sea urchins, small corals etc... during our dive trip @ Tioman. Been quite an enriching and fruitful experience. Such wrecks do not need very extreme deep dives, suitable to be as training dive site for AOW dive cert level and above...

Follow the rope descending in the big blue and suddenly you will see a 30m long metal wreck appearing beneath you. Enjoy the thousands of fish swimming around it and the lion fish that lays there.

Depending on what has been decided for your dive, we can also bring you to the two other wooden wrecks close to this one, however these have a less “Titanic mood” and the visibility can drop to zero due to the amount of fish living there.

Observe the giant barracuda sometimes hanging around and the golden trevally hunting through the middle. This is also a good dive site for nitrox and/or wreck penetration diving if you are certified.

Historically, the metal wreck is a former royal navy ship named KM Sipadan which was sunk in 2012 by the Marine Park, whereas the two wooden wrecks are Thai fishing boats.
