Introduce kids as young as 8 years old to the wonders of scuba diving! During the PADI Bubblemaker Program, kids will have the chance to see what it is like to breathe underwater just like Mom and Dad.

The program takes place in the controlled environment of a swimming pool under the direction of one of our trained and insured Assistant Instructors or Instructors. We directly supervise all participants, and before the kids are allowed into the water with scuba gear, they are given a thorough briefing on how to breathe underwater, equalization techniques, how to clear a regulator and mask, and important safety rules.

The program takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete, from the time we arrive at the pool to the time we have finished. Kids will normally have at least 30-45 minutes on scuba gear. PADI Standards require that the Bubblemaker program be conducted in 6 feet of water or less. We will start the program in very shallow water-as shallow as 3 feet and then move to the 6 foot depth only when all participants are comfortable.

The PADI Bubblemaker Program does not result in a scuba certification; rather it is intended to get kids excited to become certified divers once they reach 10 years of age. However, after the program is completed, each participant will receive a Bubblemaker Certificate and card, as well as a Bubblemaker logbook.

The minimum age for the program is 8 years old by the day of the program. We provide all necessary equipment, but if your child has a wetsuit or their own mask and fins, they are certainly welcome to bring them along. At least 2 participants are required to conduct the program, with a maximum of 4 in each class. Advance reservations and prepayment are required. Please download, print and complete the required Bubblemaker Statement and Waiver Form and bring it with the participant to the program. Note especially the Medical Statement instructions and questions. The only things the participant needs to bring besides the waiver form are a swimsuit and towel.
