Arguably one of the best macro sites on the planet.
Arguably one of the best macro sites on the planet, Cannibal Rock isn't on every boat's itinerary because getting there is more difficult. Untold amounts of rare nudbranchs fight for space on the rock which sits slightly exposed at the lowest tide, with the thousands of multicoloured featherstars and unusual sea apples that hide juvenile painted frogfish and ghost pipefish. Adult frogfish swim around the rock, which hosts surprises like pygmy seahorses, zerbra crabs, Rhinopias, hawksbill turtles, blue ring octopus, and one of the most prolific and colourful collections of hard and soft corals in the world. If you dive Komodo and don't visit the Rock, then you haven't really dived Komodo.
(Ok enough with the stories, I'm itchin' for a dive)
