Diving here is not for the faint of heart.
I used to hate driving the boat when I worked here, because this tiny island - 100m long by 10m wide - is in the middle of nowhere. No land on the horizon for 360 degrees. This means anything can show up...and I was missing it! Diving here is not for the faint of heart. A vertical wall drops to 80m and you might have to fight the current, circumnavigating the island until you find the sweet spot with the cleaner fish. Look for silky sharks, silvertips, Galapagos, white tips, and scalloped hammerhead sharks cruising in to be cleaned, mantas out in the blue, and baby leather bass hiding among the urchins on the wall. Listen for the gentle rumblings of male humpback whales, which make this a truly magical dive.
(Ok enough with the stories, I'm itchin' for a dive)
