One of the best place in the world to see great hammerhead sharks.
Only a few hours away from Tiger Beach, the End of the World is probably the best place in the world to see great hammerhead sharks. "Hammerheads? I see them by the hundreds," you say. But these sharks are different. Great hammerhead sharks are solitary and can reach sizes of up to six metres long. They are among the most elegant of sharks, moving with an undulating manoeuvrability seemingly unmatched by other species. As is the case with many animals, timing is everything. The best time for close encounters with great hammerheads is in the winter, when the water is cooler. The water during this time can be quite rough, but it's well worth the risk for a chance to see one of the most elusive sharks.
(Ok enough with the stories, I'm itchin' for a dive)
