A divespot easily accessible and home to a large variety of fish.
Any of the dozens of sites located along Bonaire's tranquil western shore offer easy access to an abundance of marine life, however there is something truly special about Something Special. Maybe it's the combination of a wide and shelf, a plunging coral encrusted slope, and the marina jetty that attracts such a gallery of great animals. Divers can spend an entire dive on the shallow sand flat searching for such rarities as bonefish and snook, making friends with squid and watching jawfish build burrows. Sailboat mooring blocks provide habitats for eels, octopus, blennis and gobies. While exploring the slope for frogfish and seahorses we make ourselves stop once in a while to look out into the blue for passing eagle rays, turtles, and giant tarpon. Things go through into high gear at dusk when the hamlets, razorfish, and flounders start spawning.
(Ok enough with the stories, I'm itchin' for a dive)
