Crystal-clear waters flood Grüner See Lake.
Every year at winter's end, snow on the Austrian alphs melts and ski tourists pack their bags as a new lake is born. Crystal-clear waters flood Grüner See Lake, raising water levels rise by up to 10m in the valley. With visibility reaching 50m, divers feel as if they're flying over the footpaths and small bridges that span tinier creeks in the summer. Tired of diving? Take a rest on one of the park's benches. The water is so clear it's easy to see the other side of the lake. Best of all, after diving you can enjoy a warm drink and a hot meal in the Resthouse Seehof.
(Ok enough with the stories, I'm itchin' for a dive)
