Dive into the Seas and Oceans

Krakoatoa Island Hiking, Snorkelling and Diving Trips in Indonesia on 8th January, 2018
(Under the sea, Volcanic Black Sand Bubbling activity)

Our yatcht driver/skipper drove us out on Sea to Krakatoa island. We climbed up to the top of Krakoata Volcano. View is Beautiful and Magnificent.

Krakatoa, or Krakatau (Indonesian: Krakatau), is a volcanic island situated in the Sunda Strait between the islands of Java and Sumatra in the Indonesian province of Lampung. The name is also used for the surrounding island group comprising the remnants of a much larger island of three volcanic peaks which was obliterated in a cataclysmic 1883 eruption.

After the hike up the Krakatoa Volcano through the forest, we went snorkeling and diving at around the Mother and Son Krakatoa volcano Islands. Underneath the water, lies a bed of volcano mud sandbed which has small potholes of bubbles bobbling up and surface above the water. As one uses his or her fingers to touch the potholes, it can actually scald your fingers as the heat coming out from the volcano mud is very hot.

We saw a group of tiny cuttlefishes, swarm around small jellyfishes, groups of barracudas fishes, blue Australian lobsters, Sea cucumbers, lionfishes and beautiful thriving corals like a floral veggie garden underwater, and many other different species of Marine life and fishes. Also dived at same area and in Thousand Islands
