Scubareefing
First thing in early morning, our friends and i took a cab down to Labun island jetty. This is the jetty port entrance - Labun island, where one can take 5-10 mins boat ride over to Labun island, Petong Island, Abang island and Ranoh islands.
Which this area has some good corals reefs developments over the past year when we also came here last year April 2017 to snorkel and dive at Abang island. This time we went Labun island and Ranoh island to snorkel and scuba dive. Both islands dive centers and operators are very new, operations setup less than one year ago. These 2 guys are the main diving operators of Ranch Islands, Indonesia Batam. Local Eco Tour companies also ferry tourists there in big groups.
But their local or private boat ferry charges which includes food and snorkeling equipment rentals for each dive is very expensive despite the conditions of corals, reefs and marine life there are pretty average. Some nice corals and clown and butterfly fishes etc..
Not meant for deep diving professionals as no deep dives are being offered there unless special arrangements done pre-hand.
