Manta Point is one of the best manta sites in the world.

I've just settled on a sandy patch 15m deep, and a large black manta banks in to check me out. While i'm busy setting up my camera, it leaves for other guests. No worries, though, as just after him another one flies in. an another. And another. Fifteen minutes from the two Papua Diving resorts, Manta Point is one of the best manta sites in the world. You can choose to snorkel with them or scuba dive. Aside from the larger coral bommies, the bottom is just sand and small eref flats. Cleaner wrasse can be seen advertising their services at several cleaning stations. I see Stephen Wong and Paul Munzinger are being visited by the same manta, but they too are scrambling to adjust their strobes and arms. Oh my, another manta is coming my way. Better get ready with my camera!
