A divespot with a chance to encounter sea lions.
In the course of eight days aboard the luxurious Solmar V, I had a variety of delightful and not so delightful interactions with the local flora and fauna. On the delightful side was the day spent swimming with the sea lions of Los Islotes. Never have I seen these animals in a more photogenic mood. The young juveniles enjoy teasing the divers by nibbling fingers and fins. The playful ones bring divers sea cucumbers and starfish to play catch. Some love to peek into diver's mask searching for the eyes. My less delightful event was an encounter with a charging, barking bull protecting his harem. He gave me a mouthful! Fortunately the wound from his teeth was superficial, but the warning was immediately heeded. The image I came back with was priceless.
(Ok enough with the stories, I'm itchin' for a dive)
